Explosion accidents often occur in chemical production. In order to do a good job in explosion-proof of chemical electricity, this paper thinks that the correct selection of high-quality explosion-proof electrical products, reasonable installation, use and maintenance of explosion-proof electrical equipment, and strengthening the training of electrical explosion-proof safety regulations and professional technology are important guarantees for chemical safety production.
In chemical enterprises, many electrical products may cause explosions, which has become an important problem threatening the safety production of chemical enterprises. So how to avoid or reduce this danger as much as possible?
First, choose high-quality explosion-proof electrical products.
Choosing explosion-proof electrical products with high safety performance not only depends on its beautiful appearance, light structure and easy installation, but more importantly, its explosion-proof structure and electrical performance should be designed reasonably, and the explosion-proof parameters and environmental indicators should meet the requirements of the application site, so as to ensure that the selected products can still have explosion-proof performance after installation, maintenance and overhaul.
Pay attention to when purchasing flameproof electrical equipment:
(1) The shell of high-voltage, high-power or high-current flameproof electrical products should be large enough to ensure good heat dissipation function and arc resistance. For flameproof lamps over 100W, heat sinks should also be cast on the shell, and special attention should be paid to electrical products with higher temperature groups on explosion-proof signs.
(2) When selecting flameproof electrical equipment, we must choose products with thick flameproof shell wall, which not only ensures its reliable explosion resistance, but also ensures that the shell can still ensure its explosion resistance and flameproof performance after opening the flameproof shell for installation and maintenance, so as not to cause the flameproof surface to deform and fail.
(3) In view of the current processing and assembly level of China’s manufacturing industry, the basic quality and maintenance ability of users’ installers and maintainers, it is suggested that the flame-proof electrical equipment that may generate arc/spark and dangerous high temperature during normal work should be indirectly introduced by cables, and the direct introduction may artificially cause the flame-proof performance to fail. In addition, special attention should be paid to the flameproof performance of the cable lead-in device, which is the weakest explosion-proof part of flameproof electrical equipment.
Pay attention to the following when purchasing electrical equipment with increased safety or increased safety and flameproof structure:
(1) Attention should be paid to the types of light sources selected for safety-enhancing lamps: incandescent lamps, self-ballasted mercury lamps, fluorescent lamps and other light sources without the danger that the lamp center is still higher than the ignition temperature after the bulb breaks.
(2) Attention should be paid to the heating of safety-enhancing junction boxes, ballasts and lamps. Because the temperature group of safety-enhancing electrical equipment depends on the temperature rise of internal electrical components, it is relatively low compared with flameproof electrical equipment with the same electrical parameters. For lamps, generally, 200W incandescent lamps and 125W self-ballasted mercury lamps can only reach T2 group, and those below 100W may reach T3 group.
(3) Special attention should be paid to the material properties of the safety-enhancing fluorescent lamp with non-metallic shell, because the plastic shell must pass the heat-resistant and cold-resistant tests before passing the shell protection test and other mechanical performance tests, so as to ensure its high protection ability.
In addition, when purchasing explosion-proof electrical products, we should also give full consideration to the influence of special environmental conditions in the application place, such as chemical corrosion, salt spray, high temperature, low temperature, dust and rain invasion, vibration, etc., which will damage the explosion-proof performance and electrical performance of the electrical equipment.
