Development process of box substation
Box-type substation is suitable for residential quarters, urban public substation, building electricity and so on. Users can choose box-type substation according to different operating conditions and load levels. Box-type substation has developed rapidly since its completion. In developed cities in Europe, it accounts for 70% of distribution transformers and 90% in the United States. With the rapid development of urban modernization in China, the frequent renovation of urban distribution network will be widely used.
As far as box-type substation is concerned, since 1970s, box-type substation imported and simulated from France, Germany and other cities has been adopted in our country, and high and low voltage switchgear and transformer configuration have been adopted. Its main body is called European box frequency conversion device, and its image is similar to building houses on high and low voltage switchgear and transformers. Since 1990s, China has introduced American box-type substations, which simplified the structure of load switches, ring switches and fuses, and put them into transformer oil tanks and immersed them in oil. Oil-immersed zinc oxide arrester is also used as lightning arrester. The transformer removes the oil conservator, exposing the oil tank and radiator to the air. This kind of box is called the American box variant, and the image is like hanging a box next to a transformer.
Box substation is a compact power distribution device.
