Welcome to forward the circle of friends and leave a message at the end of the article.

Everything in the world has its own attributes and levels, and cable products are widely used and varied. Even if you are in the industry, you don’t know everything. This article compiled by Xiaobian today can help you better understand the meaning of specifications and models.

  First, bare copper wire

Bare wires and bare conductor products refer to conductive wires without insulation and sheath, mainly including bare single wire, bare stranded wire and profile.

Copper-aluminum single wire: including soft copper single wire, hard copper single wire, soft aluminum single wire and hard aluminum single wire. It is mainly used as a semi-finished product of various wires and cables, and a small amount is used for the manufacture of communication wires and electrical appliances.

Bare stranded wire: including hard copper stranded wire (TJ), hard aluminum stranded wire (LJ), aluminum alloy stranded wire (LHAJ) and steel-core aluminum stranded wire (LGJ) are mainly used for the connection of electrical equipment and electronic appliances or components. The specifications of the above stranded wires vary from 1.0 to 300mm2.

  Second, the power cable

Power cable is a cable product used to transmit and distribute high-power electric energy in the trunk line of power system, including power cables with various voltage levels and insulation of 1 ~ 330 kV and above.

  The section is 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185, 240, 300, 400, 500, 630 and 800mm2, and the number of cores is 1, 2, 3 and 800 mm2.

Power cables are classified into low-voltage cables, medium-voltage cables and high-voltage cables according to voltage levels. According to the insulation situation, it is divided into plastic insulated cable, rubber insulated cable and mineral insulated cable.

  Three, overhead insulated cable

Overhead cable is also very common, and its characteristic is that it has no sheath. Many people have three misunderstandings about this kind of cable, and the pie is corrected here.

First, its conductors are not only aluminum, but also copper conductors (JKYJ, JKV) and aluminum alloys (JKLHYJ). Now there are also steel-core aluminum stranded overhead cables (JKLGY).

Secondly, it is not only single-core, but it can also be twisted into a bundle by several conductors.

Third, the voltage level of overhead cables is 35KV and below, not 1KV and 10KV.

  Fourth, the control cable

The structure of this kind of cable is similar to that of power cable, which is characterized by only copper core, no aluminum core cable, smaller conductor section and more cores, such as 24*1.5 and 30*2.5. …

It is suitable for single machine control or unit equipment control of power stations, substations, mines and petrochemical enterprises with rated AC voltage of 450/750V and below. In order to improve the ability of control signal cable to prevent internal and external interference, shielding layer is mainly adopted.

Common models are KVV, KJV, KJV 22, KVV22 and KVVP. Model meaning: "K" control cable, "V" PVC insulation, "YJ" XLPE insulation, "V" PVC sheath and "P" copper wire shield.

For the shielding layer, our common KVVP is copper wire shielding, which means KVVP2 if it is copper tape shielding, and KVVP3 if it is aluminum-plastic composite tape shielding. Different shielding materials have their own characteristics and functions. In future articles, we will talk about this topic in detail.
