With the accelerating process of electric vehicle charging infrastructure construction, hundreds of charging facilities enterprises have been put into production and operation. While the charging products are constantly enriched, some charging facilities with poor product quality and low safety level have become "parasites" that disrupt the healthy development of the market. In order to strictly control the access threshold of charging facilities and improve the overall quality of products, on July 11th, China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) started the work of "logo management" of charging facilities for electric vehicles. How will this work be carried out and what role will it play?
Why did you start logo management?
According to Liu Yongdong, deputy director of the Standardization Center of China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, there are three main reasons for the start-up of the identification management of electric vehicle charging facilities:
First of all, while the construction of charging infrastructure is accelerating, various charging problems are frequent. According to the statistics of the Union, at present, the number of public charging facilities in China has reached 171,000, and the number of enterprises producing and operating charging facilities in China is not less than 500. The ensuing problem is the uneven quality of charging infrastructure, which leads to frequent charging problems. For example, the quality of charging guns is worrying, and the compatibility of car piles is poor. Especially in the special period of the transition from the 2011 edition to the 2015 edition, the quality and safety of charging facilities is a "yardstick" to directly measure the operational efficiency of enterprises and the charging experience of users. Therefore, in order to solve the problems of vehicle-pile compatibility, standards and specifications are essential.
Secondly, the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles" previously issued by the State Council also clearly stated that it is necessary to improve the management system of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, form a charging infrastructure promotion alliance, and strictly manage the access of charging infrastructure. Its purpose is to improve the product quality and safety of the market charging infrastructure.
After Z, the self-discipline of some enterprises will drive the self-discipline of the whole industry. The members of the alliance include many mainstream enterprises of charging facilities in China. Through the self-discipline of these enterprises, the quality and safety of products will be improved, which will lead to the improvement of product quality in the whole charging infrastructure industry.
